Planned activities beyond railfanning the Hill.

As to where we meet... Friday is pretty open for everyone to go west of Woodward and photograph, then approx 1900pm, we will gather at the North East Electric Community Room for some good old railfan slides of lots of trains.. I have 2 trays of "Trip to Mexico 1995" ( down to Empalme to see and walk inside the 2 PA-1s left unrestored) and if you have a tray or so of railfan slides, please do bring them. We can run over 3 hours if the guys are willing watch more.. :-) I have been advised that if someone has a slide loader (stacker), that maybe they should bring it too.. to fit a Kodak projector.

As to finding the location... Woodward has a north/south main drag which takes you down by WalMart eventually. NE Electric is just before Atwoods and WalMart.. on your right driving south.. Address is listed at www,curtishill.com, under Timetable. Easy to miss with the trees around it so keep the eyes open... Woodward has a main street also east-west, which is about 2-3 blocks north of the main east west drag... Both these main drags intercept at the FIRE STATION...easy to spot! If you need to bring some chow to the slideshow, we'll manage.. we just need to leave the place as clean as before..

Saturday is open for railfanning east up onto Curtis Hill, and we usually meet up at the Waynoka Depot for lunch and Sandie Olson usually shows us through the Depot Museum.  :-) Check out this link:

Sunday morning, it is planned to meet approx 0900am down at the Vici Cafe (about 16-20 miles south of Woodward) for some good old small town breakfast. At 1000am, we are set up to tour the Vici Depot (Katy) which the Lions Club owns now. I was given a call today and last Friday to comfirm that they will open it for us. BTW: The main contact said that perhaps, if we eat at the Vici Cafe, then allow enough time, as he said they cook one meal at a time...so maybe come a bit earlier yet, or grab something in Woodward on the way down. I don't know how this is going to all work so guess we will find out... Linda and I will try to be at the Vici Cafe at approx 0815-0830...ourselves.. It is about 16-20 miles south of Woodward so allow some drive time. We figure most of you all will probably head home from Vici, or railfan some more with us...
